  1. Cut the soap base into small cubes - use roughly ¾ of the 2 lbs pack, eye-balling is ok. Place cubes in a glass measuring cup.
  2. Melt in the microwave on 30-second bursts, stirring after each one. Make sure not to overheat and scorch the soap. Alternatively, you can place the measuring cup in a slightly bigger pot halfway filled with water over medium heat on the stovetop.
  3. Add honey, oatmeal, and essential oil and whisk
  4. Pour into the mold until almost full to avoid overflowing
  5. Spritz top with rubbing alcohol - this is optional and will reduce the appearance of air bubbles. Purely cosmetic 😉
  6. Let cool down completely - this will take a couple of hours, you can speed this up by putting the soap in the fridge or freezer. Wait to move the soap until it's somewhat thick otherwise, it might spill.
  7. Release from mold by tugging on the sides of the mold first and then gently pushing from the bottom.
  8. Store in an airtight container, ziplock bag, or use plastic wrap. Keep the soap away from moisture as much as possible to extend shelf life.

Is goat milk soap easy to make?

Making goat milk soap using a goat's milk soap base is easy. The soap-making process has already been done for you. All you have to do is melt, add ingredients, and pour into a beautiful mold.

Can goat's milk soap be used as a shampoo?

You can use goat milk soap to wash your hair. However, using a homemade hair rinse with equal parts apple cider vinegar and water is recommended afterward. This will ensure that the natural pH of your hair remains balanced.

On Amazon or at your local kitchen supply store, but you can use any container you have on hand. It needs to be big enough and heat proof/ microwave save.
